About Us

The DFW Texas Recruiters Network (DFWTRN) is a non-profit professional association formed for the purpose of sharing and networking with recruiters and human resource professionals. We strive in educating our members, assisting with staffing difficult positions, offering tips to reduce cost-of-hire, developing professional skills, and for promoting camaraderie and professional discourse.

We achieve this through education, networking, and sharing resources and ideas. DFWTRN attracts nationally recognized speakers, technology partners, resource providers, and top-notch recruiting talent. Our members are corporate, contract and staff augmentation recruiters working in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.  We assist individuals seeking employment and connect them to companies that are hiring. 

As a member of DFWTRN, you can network with your peers and discuss challenges, opportunities, new initiatives, and best practices. The DFWTRN Board of Directors is a group of recruiting professionals who volunteer their time to promote the group and add value to its overall effectiveness.


FAQs

Meeting times and locations?

The DFWTRN has a monthly luncheon held at  Prestonwood Country Club on Preston Road just north of Arapaho- $25 for members, $30 for non-members.  Prestonwood has a great buffet. We take checks or cash, but you can pre-pay on PayPal or credit card online.

We have quarterly evening meetings at various locations.

How do you determine speakers?

We ask for suggestions from our members. As a grass-roots organization, staffed with volunteers, we do not have the capacity to pay our luncheon speakers but if speakers have a book or CD or other product, we will allow them to sell those at the meetings.

How do I get on the Board?

Board members are chosen from those who attend luncheons and evening meetings regularly. As we grow, you can participate on a committee which will lead to Board eligibility. Current  Board Members elect new Board Members based on active participation in the DFWTRN.

What does being on the Board entail?

Board members must attend monthly luncheons and Board Meetings as well as quarterly evening meetings. They must also be responsible for one of these areas: Luncheon, Evening Meetings, Speakers, Membership, Sponsors, Directory, JobLeads and DFWTRN@yahoogroups.com, DFWTRN.org Website, Social Networking.

What is DFWTRN doing for unemployed Recruiters?

We assist individuals seeking employment and connect them to companies that are hiring. We send job leads out and recruiter resumes out over the recruiter network – to get on this list send a blank email to dfwtrn-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

Are Luncheons a good place for third party Recruiters to find corporate recruiters to call on for business?

Years ago, there were two Recruiters Networks, one for Corporate and one for Agency/Third Party. When they merged, the one request of the Corporate Recruiters was that Third Party recruiters NOT use the Luncheons for business development. We respectfully request that these meetings remain for professional networking but not sales.
